Baglio del Cristo di Campobello
Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is a modern family-owned winery located near the town of Campobello di Licata in southwestern Sicily, Italy. Established in the early 21st century by the Bonetta family, the winery was founded with the vision of producing wines that express the unique character of the Sicilian terroir while combining local traditions with contemporary winemaking techniques.
The vineyards are situated on rolling hills at elevations of approximately 230 to 300 meters above sea level. Limestone-rich soils, together with the Mediterranean climate and the proximity to the sea, create ideal conditions for cultivating grapes of exceptional quality.
The winery works with both indigenous Sicilian grape varieties—including Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Inzolia, and Catarratto—and internationally renowned varieties such as Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Baglio del Cristo di Campobello wines are distinguished by their elegance, balance, and expressive aromatic profile, often combining vibrant fruit notes with subtle spice and refined minerality.
Production remains deliberately limited, with a strong emphasis on quality and meticulous grape selection. This careful approach allows every bottle to faithfully reflect the authentic character and remarkable diversity of the Sicilian landscape.
